Maha Kalashtami or Kal Bhairav Jayanti is observed on the Eighth day of the Dark fortnight in the Margasheersh month in north Indian calendars. While in other Amavasyant calendars the festival falls on Krishna Paksha of Karthik Month. This year, Kala Bhairav Ashtami is on Monday, 25th November 2013.
